Las Vegas Land Issue

Las Vegas is one of the largest metropolitan areas in Nevada. The Bureau of Land Management or BLM is attempting to sell a 12.5 acre parcel of public land in the Las Vegas Valley region, they are currently trying to sell it in a competitive sealed-bid sale. The area for sale is located in the southwestern corner of the Las Vegas Valley. This particular land sale is not a issue as of yet but because of good scarce land available in the Las Vegas region this could turn into a large bidding war. Also the BLM is trying to use the money made from this sale which can be no less then $520,000 to fund parks, trails, and capital improvement to Federal Land. This article shows how lucrative land sales in Las Vegas can be due to the scarcity of quality land in the region and the long process involved in acquiring such land.
